Prabhjot Punnia founded Summit Point Law with the goal of making legal services accessible, practical, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta and was called to the Alberta Bar following her clerkship with the Court of Appeal of Alberta and articles with the Department of Justice Canada.

Before founding Summit Point Law, Prabhjot served for several years as legal counsel with the Department of Justice Canada, where she represented federal Ministers and government entities before all levels of Alberta courts and the Federal Court. A significant part of her practice involved defending decisions made by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), including immigration judicial reviews, removal matters, and other complex administrative law litigation. She also acted for the Government of Canada in constitutional and public law matters. Having represented the federal government in immigration litigation, Prabhjot has a unique understanding of how IRCC and CBSA decisions are made, defended, and challenged before the Federal Court. She now applies that experience to help individuals and businesses navigate Canadian immigration law, challenge immigration refusals, respond to procedural fairness concerns, and resolve complex legal disputes.
